Our last ‘eMusic reccs’ update was last August. So much for doing one of these every quarter. Lots of new albums and EPs have been added, but, per usual, I’m finding plenty of obscure, older stuff as well. It’s no mystery eMusic is Aquarium Drunkard’s preferred digital distribution outfit, and if you sign up via our link, you will be supporting the blog, as well as wrangling your free MP3s. I believe it’s what they call ‘a “win-win situation.” Yeah.

You can sign up here for 25 free MP3s and cancel immediately if you don’t like the service. We dig it…you probably will too.

Here are some artists (new and old) available via eMusic that A.D. fully endorses: Bon Iver, Stephen Malkmus, Ravonettes, She & Him, Destroyer, The Dodos, Of Montreal, The Black Keys, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Panda Bear, Animal Collective, Sonic Youth, Grizzly Bear, Devendra Banhart, Andrew Bird, Yeasayer, Elliott Smith, Cat Power, Sufjan Stevens, Townes Van Zandt, Ryan Adams, Neutral Milk Hotel, Slint, PJ Harvey, The Star Room Boys, Pavement, Belle & Sebastian, Jim White, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, 16 Horsepower, etc. I could go on for awhile….

I would also recommend digging deeper as they have all sorts of interesting world stuff, jazz, etc, etc.
