Roadside Graves :: Aquarium Drunkard Session (2010)

Earlier this month Muzzle of Bees posted the ‘lost’ Aquarium Drunkard session we did with Roadside Graves at Infrasonic Studios during the summer of 2009. Among other things the session marked the first appearance of “Liv Tyler” which would later be recorded during the You Won’t Be Happy With Me sessions in a cabin deep in the Adirondacks. This Friday, during the first hour of the SIRIUS show, I am airing the session the band laid down last month for AD, at Red Rockets Glare Studios, during their stay in Los Angeles. Of all the sessions I have heard them do over the years this is my favorite.

  1. I can’t believe I slept on this band for so long. This is exactly the kind of music I started my blog to discuss. The prog undertones in “God Touched Me” are perfectly interwoven in the folk/ alt. country stew. Thanks for this!

  2. I am really liking this band. They remind me quite a bit of 16 Horesepower, one of my all time faves.
