LA based singer-songwriter Aaron Kyle has been releasing a steady stream of music for the past two decades. From the askew pop of his ’00’s project, Le Switch, to the countrypolitan guise of his most recent Geronimo Getty persona, the throughline was the storytelling. This remains the case on Kyle’s new ep, Here In The River, the first output released under his own name. Aesthetically noir in approach, and sonically indebted to Los Lobos, Lhasa, and Tom Waits, it’s also Kyle’s best work to date.
