As a rule I am not one for covering The Beatles. 9 out of 10 times it’s just a really bad idea — that’s not the case here though. George Benson released “The Other Side of Abbey Road” shortly after The Beatles 1969 release as a tribute completely reinterpreting album. The first MP3 posted here is literally dripping with the funk. Jazzheads will note Herbie Hancock, Hubert Laws, and Freddie Hubbard are all present as supporting musicians on these tracks.
