Perception's a funny thing. The first time I heard this album I was a little put off...not sure why really, I think I was listening to some sort of post-post-rock nonsense just prior, and the two juxtaposed were just too contrary for my ears to handle. Anyway, my loss! As it's pretty damn cool, and I am into it more with every listen. Check these NC brothers out -- all gruff vocals, banjos, acoustic guitars . . .
