Sometimes I'll hear a song and the kitsch factor alone pulls me in again and again -- such is the case with Mel McDaniel's "Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On." I originally heard the song a few years ago via a scene in the film Personal Velocity , and it's positioning was used perfectly to set the tone and mood of both the scene and it's character. The two are now intrinsically linked in my mind. Go ahead, son -- add this piece of '80s fluff . . .
