I can only imagine the anticipatory vibe surrounding the release of late ’60s supergroup Blind Faith’s sole release was something akin to that of what the indie community has been experiencing the past few months in regard to the Swan Lake project. Comprised of Destroyer/New Pornographer Dan Bejar, Wolf Parade/Sunset Rubdown’s Spencer Krug, and Frog Eyes’ Carey Mercer, Swan Lake is being touted a Canadian indie-rock tour de force.

That’s a lot of hype, and on some of the tracks it’s duly warranted. While not surpassing the heights of their respective main gigs, the album has some fine moments sure to please the legions of Wolf Parade and Destroyer fans (I can’t speak to the Frog Eyes angle as I am not overly familiar with the material).

Album drops November 21 on the Jagjaguwar label. Until then, chew on these two label approved tracks.
