Wow! Thanks for posting this. In my opinion, R.E.M.’s I.R.S. output should be alongside the Beatles and Dylan in the rock canon. It’s a shame that more people don’t make it a point to hear the early albums. It’s really cool, also, that Peter slyly critiques U2 here —Â the opposite of the band’s latter-day admiration of them.
