Heads up.  Magnolia Electric Co. has a new album out, Josephine, their first since 2006’s Fading Trails.  Tuesday, July 28th, Aquarium Drunkard presents Jason Molina and Co. with guests The Donkeys and Old Californio at The Echo in Echo Park, L.A.

We have several pairs of tickets for AD readers.  To land yourself a pair, leave you favorite Jason Molina-related album, your name (need full name here, folks), and a valid email address (won’t be public).  Tickets will be available at will-call the night of the show.

  1. Oh man, that’s gonna be a good show. Anyone ever see Magnolia do “Mamas, Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys”?

  2. I’m a big fan of Songs Ohia’s Impala

and a big fan of free tickets to the Echo

  3. It was Songs:Ohia that first caught me:
Mi Sei Apparso Come Un Fantasma with Tigress.
Great album, wish I still had a copy.
    Loving Josephine!

  4. What Comes After the Blues is probably my favorite. Would love to see this show.

  5. “Axxes & Ace” allegedly recorded in one single day is by far my favorite. Though “The Lioness” comes pretty close…
