I first came across Frank Frost via author Robert Palmer’s seminal blues doc Deep Blues: A Musical Pilgrimage to the Crossroads. Years later, just prior to beginning research on my guidebook to the Delta Blues Trail, I was reintroduced to the blues harp player’s latter-era work. Last Wednesday Ghost Capital served up a vinyl rip of Frost’s self-titled LP recorded for the Jewel label and produced by Elvis sideman Scotty Moore. The shit cooks.
