“Scotch On The Socks” – 1966 b-side to UK rocknrollers, The Shadows’ “The Dreams I Dream”. One part instrumental booze party with a dash of grunts and hashish, all underwritten by John Rostill’s bassline.

this page is sickkkk as fuck man!!!!
there is a great John Lennon quote about The Shadows…something to the effect of “before the Shadows, UK music was shit”
The Shadows’ Greatest Hits was on high rotation in my house as a kid. I still love that cover. Never heard this tune before though. Gracias.
This here kicks ass. In France right now, just got back from cruising around the highways or w/e with the windows down and this and the Allah Las blasting. Fucking awesome and loads of fun.
(excuse my french… I am in France though…)
Best one-line review ever? This could be a series: “Aquarium Drunkard Presents: Songs as Mixed Drinks”
Hank Marvin is instrumental guitar’s ying to Link Wray’s yang – great stuff.
