All Saved Freak Band :: All Across The Nation

I got this slice of early 70s psych-sludge stuck in my head the other day…only the lyrics mentally devolved into something akin to “..shuh nuh nation, sumthin’ sumthin’ expectation, devastation, shuh nuh nuh, fascination, revelation” and so on. The associated mental image was of  David St Hubbins fronting the Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem. Those of you who have been around a minute may recall “All Across The Nation” was featured as part of the collection Crescere released in 2010 made up of super-obscure, often private press, 60s/70s outsider psychedelic guitar and folk music…all with the underlying theme of the Jesus People Movement.

You can download the original compilation here, and just last month the guys at Crescere followed it up dropping Volume II.

  1. If this is the same band one of the members was Glenn Schwarts who at times had played with the James Gang and Pacific Gas & Electric. He still plays and rants in the Cleveland area. It’s a long, sad sorry…..
