In a recent interview with L.A.'s Le Switch (playing Spaceland October 18th) the band's Aaron Kyle and Maria DeLuca brought up The Crystals ominous, Phil Spector produced/Carole King penned, hit "He Hit Me (It Felt Like A Kiss)." A fantastic song from a bygone era, the tune was expertly covered by become a member or log in.
For the uninitiated, Dr. Dog is a Philadelphia based indie outfit playing a variation of reverent sounds culled from the what could be described as the fruits of a a dedicated 1970s vinyl enthusiast's collection.
