As far as we're concerned, blog-wise, Big Rock Candy Mountain is the place to be during the month of December. For four years now, every December, the site steadily offers up obscure quality Christmas nuggets you won't hear at the mall or Starbucks.

It’s 1999. Kathleen Edwards records a seven-song EP entitled Building 55 and presses 500 copies. This EP, now long out of print, is the first recorded output of Edwards’ career prior to her signing with a label and releasing her full length debut, 2003’s Failer.
